Hi Ced, I've also used this extension, albeit many years ago. As I remember it was on J3 and it's used to load a popup/splash screen on page load. Or, at a specific time after the initial page load. As I remember it was quite good at the time. I also think this was a module, so quite lightweight when compared to a component that can do the same thing. So from that respect it would be handy.

I have checked your archive, this is for joomla 1.6, based on Squeeeze Box
and more it uses Cookies to store the data and with the new regulation about cookies, this is a pain lol
unless there are other users that really need it, I don't think for now that I will do it, even if I think it could be cool
for info you can have a popup on page load with Mediabox CK
www.joomlack.fr/documentation/mediabox-c...hargement-de-la-page
of course not designed in the same way as SplashR

Hi Ced.

I few months ago I suggested that you fork over a new version of Article Images Upload and Gallery.

But you thought it was still maintained and J4 ready.

I needed it for a new J4 site I'm working on so I installed it, and it crashed J4.

Although the webpage ( joomcar.net/products/joomla/joomla-artic...y-plugin#description ) says it's updated and J4 ready. It's not.

The version I downloaded was the same version for J3. And it's old.

The devs are now giving away all their extensions for free, so it would seem a J4 version is not on the horizon.

Would you take another look?

I think the extension is a really nice way to add a slideshow to an article without the author needing to have access to modules/components. So good for ordinary registered users as the slideshow is all controlled by a new tab in the article options tabs.

Regards, Brendan
