Update Maximenu to version 8 from version 6 or 7

I hate updating this module. It's the only module or extension for that matter that I know of that makes changes to the settings when it updates.

Hi
I don't agree. Many other extensions do major changes into a major version.
Just look at joomla itself between the v2.5 and v3
Then if you need my help you would need to explain me where is the problem.
I have updated my own website from v6 to v8 within 5 minutes to get exactly the same result as before

I also want to say that I understand that this is a problem, so for sure in the future versions I will do the necessary to avoid such problems

Appreciate the explanation... and I was wrong. At least I only have to figure out the settings to get it back the way it was. I think it was the 'alternative layout' setting under the 'advanced' tab, by the way... maybe it's stored in a file instead of the database.
Anyway, the reason I say 'at least it was only the settings' because many other extensions require quite a bit more than changing a setting to get it working after an upgrade.
Still have to say it's a great extension. And thanks for making it great... and affordable.

Bonjour,
