How to make menu path expanded for active tread?

Sorry I'm an idiot. Turns out my original layout was

- Link 1 : text separator
-- Link 2 : alias
-- link 3 : alias

which didn't work. I've changed it to all aliases which now works.

ok then I have the same issue and I understand
if you try with the native joomla menu module the result is the same
the separator can't be the parent of the alias as the alias is not the real item that is called to show the page.
You must use another structure
