Breadcrumbs issue with blog element was created by Witchypaws
Hi Ced
I have a page here xfactorcollective.com/legal
This page was designed with page builder ck using a blog element and then mounted on a standard Joomla menu
I have a template built and installed using template creator CK which has a module position for breadcrumbs and then I have created a breadcrumbs module on all the pages except home page.
My problem is this
The blog element looks great on the page xfactorcollective.com/legal but when you click through to one of the individual pages xfactorcollective.com/legal/123-legal/30...terms-and-conditions , the breadcrums should show
Privacy, Terms and Conditions | Site Terms and Conditions but it shows
Privacy, Terms and Conditions | Legal | Site Terms and Conditions
The intervening link takes you back to an ordinary standard Joomla blog link which is not styled correctly. It should not be there if I am using a page builder page and blog section and menu item instead of a standard Joomla blog page
Please advise
thanks
Jacqui

Hi
the problem is not coming from Page Builder CK because is uses the native Joomla routing system to get the urls of your articles
in fact, you have the same url in Page Builder CK as if you had done it natively with Joomla
you shall try to remove/unpublish your joomla blog page and see if it works. To make it work, you must first have your articles to have the correct breadcumbr in joomla

Hi Ced
I don't have a Joomla blog page published.
All I have is the link is I sent you which is built in PageBuilderCK containing a blog element and all the articles are set as standard Joomla article
There is an instance of SEBlod on the site for specialised articles, could that perhaps be causing the issue. If so, any suggestions.
Thanks
Jacqui

Hi Ced
I just put together a quick lot of articles on my testing site blueprintj3.digihearth.au/
This site is the latest version of everything installed and does not have SEBlod on it.
The site has URL routing set to modern with URL IDs removed however the breadcrumbs do the same thing in legacy mode as well
the same thing happens even whether I have a Joomla blog page published or not
For the Testing Articles Page blueprintj3.digihearth.au/testing-articles
The Breadcrumb are correct Home > Testing Articles
For the first article on this page Testing, the breadcrumb is Home > Testing. This is as expected for this article because this article has it's own menu item.
For the next two articles Testing 2 and Testing 3. blueprintj3.digihearth.au/testing-articl...sting-2&catid=2:blog
Breadcrumbs show as Home > Testing Articles > Blog > Testing 2
Most people would click on the Blog link to go back and would see the ugly and unstyled Joomla blog page
I expect the breadcrumb to be
Home > Testing Articles > Testing 2
Therefore, when I go back, I get the beautifully styled page builder ck page (as per the other site, this one hasn't been styled much)
Please advise
Jacqui

Hi Jacqui & CEd,
if that works for "Home > Testing", why not use the same procedure for "Testing 2" and "Testing 3"...
if the "Testing 2" and "Testing 3" items are not wanted in mainmenu you could hide from menu in MenuLink-options
--> edit the menu item --> Linktype --> (scroll down and) deactivate "Show in Menu"
any link:
How to create hidden menu items in Joomla and when it's helpful?
www.joomla-monster.com/documentation/joo...menu-items-in-joomla
Regards and good luck,
Heino
