Hide a menu item using Maximenu

Hi, CEd,

Well, I have tried and tried over the past couple of weeks, and have not gotten anywhere. I do use Firebug extensively, but the problem here is that I am trying to eliminate the hover behavior for certain menu items, and in Firebug, as soon as you move the mouse off hovering (say to scroll through Firebug), it changes in Firebug, so I can never see many of the settings.

The problem seems to start with the fact that nothing I add to the template css seems to even show up in Firebug, either in the Styles or HTML windows. For example, I put this into the Custom CSS of the template:
Code:
li.item562 first level2 { display: none !important; }

but nothing at all even shows up in the Firebug Styles window from custom.css.

Is there any more guidance you can give me?

Thanks,
Matt

Hi
in firebug you can switch the state of the elemen to be hover, this lets you inspect it ;)

li.item562 first level2 {

this is not a correct css rule, this one shall be better

li.item562.first.level2 {
