Closing when Menu behavior: On click

Hi!
To get my menu work with iPad I choose the Menu-Modul-option "On click" for Menu behavior. Then the menu only closes when I click on the Link again, with witch I opend it.
1. Is there a way to let the menu close by clicking anywhere but on the link or the menu (click outside)?
2. Is there a way to make the following 2 Menu behavior-settings work at the same time: On click AND On mouseover? So that the menu opens by mouseover AND by clicking (closing ONLY by clicking outside the menu)? Then the mouseover would work for PC and On Click would work for iPad....
Thanks a lot!

Hi
Then I will definitively work on a solution to keep the link redirection on the second click, and trying to close it on "mouseoutclick"
Ced
this already how it works now if you choose "mouseover". As there is no mouseover on iPad, the system will detect the click instead. Then the mouseover would work for PC and On Click would work for iPad....

Hi again!
First of all thanks for your answer!
With Safari on iPad it works as you wrote. But a friend of mine has another browser on his iPad and here the menu opens AND the link works (so the site changes and the menu stays open). I know, not many users use this other browser...
It's "Mercury" I think (a friend of mine told me about the problem).
1. Is there a way to deactivate some links on level 1 (not ALL because of my "home"-menu-link)? If I choose the separater in Joomla as a menu-entry, I get problems with CSS, because of other setting with separators in maximenu...
2. Could you please inform me when you have solved the close-open-menu-"on click"-by-clicking-outside-of-the-menu-thing??
Thanks again!!!

1. yes you can use an external url with
javascript:void(0)
as link
2. you can follow me on twitter 'ced1870' to be informed and get the last news on joomlack. Anyway I have now put an update server in maximenu that tells you in joomla that a new version is available for download

ok, I have found a solution
but,
1/ click parent item >> open submenu
2/ click outside menu >> close menu
or
1/ click parent item >> open submenu
2/ click parent item again >> redirect
because if you do both :
1/ click parent item >> open submenu
2/ click outside menu >> close menu
2/ click parent item again >> redirect (and don't reopen the menu !)

Mmmh. Using an external URL is not possible. I need the menu-entry as it is.
Deactivating the link with CSS ({pointer-events: none}) is not possible because not special css-class is defined for the link...
To your solution: sorry, I do not understand it!
My friend is just clicking one time on the menu-item: it opens an the site changes...
