Parent icon on menu item level not shown?

please update your menu item type to "url" and setup a link "#". This works
in the same time I will look into that to fix it

Well, maybe a litle in the right direction, but we are now back at, that the orange color disappears every time i log on/of, and I have to press ctrl-shift-r to get it back ?? So acting like with the menu heading type.

I will try to reproduce the same config as yours, to check if I have the same problem. I wonder if this could be related to the registered state of the item

I have found the problem
in the styles >> load compile css >> compile, this is causing the issue
I have set it to NO and it works

you can manually remove this file
modules/mod_maximenuck/themes/custom/css/maximenuck_maximenuck97.css
then setup on "compile" again, it shall work

Sorry, but removing the file and turning the setting to Compile again, does not work. The problem is back !?
