Just bought the Vm plug and the Documentation but have two problems.
1. as the title says I want to combine Joomla and Vm menus
But I really don't understand what you are saying here
what you could do is to use a joomla menu in which you include a module calling another maximenu module which have the VM activated. Doing this you can manage your menu like you want

have made a menu (separator) item and the title is [modid=32] (vm enabled mod is id=32)
It shows but with no vm sub cats etc.. you can see it on the link below . Does this technique work with VM sub cats?

2. I have a main Vm cat and 24 sub and want 3 columns..
What ever I do I only get 2, ( ) is in two categories (9 and 18)
If I put that at cat 1, 9, 18 still the 3rd col folds..

Tried also with the cols3 on the top level Vm cat .. hmm
Please explain how this is supposed to work.
If I add a width to (with Firebug)

}
it displays correctly..
