That was it. Had to completely clear the browser cache, not simply a refresh of the cache (ctrl F5).

It appears to be working fine now.

It appears that there is a glitch. It looks as though with this change, now no menu links, or even the link on the logo or any links on a page, work.

I had to change that to backup and take the site live. I have a version of the site still running at techteam.fegcorp.com/main , that is running CK 8.3.0, set on click.
