what I see by my side is that you have loaded the module in a column of your template that is only 25% width of the website width. Then the module is always small ... not only on smartphone.
You must load it in another position of your template where it has more place

Well things did not work out as we hoped and everything was put on the back burner. Back at it now.. If at all possible, could I ask your help again on this issue? If you look at the site now (vlkennels.com) You will see the slide show in 2 positions. The one in position 10 (the lower of the 2) is the one I am having problems with. I would like a border at the top of it separating it from the positions above and also, is there a way to hide it or resize it on tablets and smartphones. Once again, thank you for your time.

Hi
I see a slideshow under "Another generous contribution", is this the one you are talking about ?
if you want a separator between the slideshow and the content you shall do that into your template, this has nothing to do with the module
for the tablets and smartphones, do you want to hide the entire module ?

No, it is the bigger one under the main content near the bottom. I did figure out the padding though after playing around and editing my css files. I would like to hide the larger of the 2 slideshows or have some way that it is resized on tablets and phones. The top slideshow (under "Another generous contribution") already seems to do this.

ok I see now the problem :)
go in the module >> styles options >> width = auto
you have set it to 940px which is a fixed width
