Slider seems to be resizing images

I think I am going to have to create these slides with that background as it appears to be scaling the slides, but not the background image itself.

On another note, it appears my karma went to -1 because you deleted my post with the non-public info. lol

yes that is the problem : the image background can not be scaled ! (unless using CSS rules that are not well managed by all browers).
Then the slideshow resizes, and not your background.
