ok, images, I have all set in the slideshow, see ifg-neustadt.de1.biz/
I have set the height and width to 100%, is it possible that the slides automatically adjust to the screen size? see link ifg-neustadt.de/ (OLD page)

on the other url, you have used the "full page background" option to YES

if I set "use it as full page background to yes, the slideshow ck is no longer displayed.

are you sure that this is not something to change into your template ?
like giving a transarent background to the left area, so that you can see the slideshow in background ?

you can see :
new site : the loading icon is in the middle of the left column
old site : the loading icon is in the middle of the entire page, a bit behind the right column
