Unable to select image in front end

Hello,

I have set up Joomla front-end user accounts and have set front-end permissions in SlideshowCK for these users.

It is possible to edit the module, add a new slide, add a date, description, etc BUT not to add an image. When clicking on 'Select an image' the image browser pop-up shows for a couple of seconds and then it disappears, to be replaced by the site's admin login page.

This happens on various browsers and on both Windows 10 and Mac OS.

The front-end user permissions are also allowed for media to edit and edit state in Joomla's global configuration.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

I see the problem, I have coded the admin url for the mediamanager.
Please remind me this in few days as I'm busy for now, I will check how to implement this

I would appreciate a fix for this soon as my clients need to be able to add their own pictures to their website from the front end.

Unfortunately, it does not work.

My client's front end user group is as a modified version of user group 'Publisher' so that they do not have back-end access and I have given them permission to access selected modules in the front end, including SlideshowCK. And, as explained earlier, they can edit certain parts of the module but not select images.

After I first contacted you on this issue I discovered that if I was logged into the back end as a super user and then logged into the front end as a user in this special user group on another tab, but in the same browser (Firefox), that I was able to select images.

However, if I am only logged into the front-end user as user in the special front-end group (as my clients will be) it does not allow image selection.

After your update, it still does not allow image selection for this user group and I get the message:
"Error
You are not authorised to view this resource."

Can you please check this again and make sure that you are not logged in as a super user but as a 'Publisher' type with permission to edit SlideshowCK in the front end?

My apologies if I didn't make all the above clear before.

the latest version of the module does not use anymore the backend url, but the front end url of the media manager
Check the permissions of your user to access to it

you can try with a super admin :
log off from the backend, log in the front and try
