Accordeon Hika only generates links for child item

The site we're trying to get working is

To illustrate the issue, clicking on "Vinyl Graphics" in the menu will expand the menu and display the associated submenu items in the content area as well.
Clicking on the submenu item "Solid Color" will cause the child menu items to be displayed in the content area, but the menu then collapses.
