I am also having an issue with google fonts not working correctly.
If I import a font using fontsquirrel, then the font works fine.
If I try to use a google font, then it does not work correctly - As Nioliv stated, it shows up in the template creator, but does not get used in the template itself - even though it seems to be calling the font, it is not used, and the default browser font is used instead.
You can see it in action at :
www.battletech-group.com
The font for headers is imported via font squirrel and is working fine.
The font for the rest of the page is SUPPOSED to be 'Raleway' but is definitely not.
** seems to be incorrect coding for some browsers as it is working fine in Internet Explorer, but not firefox or chrome.
** If I use the Firefox web developer tools it shows the font being used as IcoMoon . No mention at all of Raleway
***FIXED it by putting @import url( fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway ); into either the template.css file or into my custom.css file (both work) and not the fonts.css file (does not work)
