The standard menu is on top. It will not show the children eve with 'end level' set to 'all'.

you don't see the submenu, does not mean that it is not loaded in the page

the submenus are there, but hidden by
.readon, .moduletable .unstyled {
display: none;
}

so for me both modules are working the same
