Is it possible to get ToC in sidebar as module?
The only way I manage to get it working is placing shortcode in article and in custom module that is positioned in sidebar. But that way I get two ToCs and that is not what I wanted ...

for now the TOC is limited to the article where it is loaded. I shall add a parameter to load a specific article to make this work

after checking I'm sorry to say that I can not add this feature for now, the problem is that the toc shall link to the article titles, but this titles are updated automatically from the TCO to be linked.
outside the article context, it is complicated to get the article and update it, this is the case when the TOC is outside the article
