Really weird - we have been using the slideshow to show images from at specifick virtuemart product category for a long time, but for reasons unknown it has stopped working on the category we use…… we can choose another category and then it works, but when using the category that we want, then only ONE picture shows up, and that picture is only in a completely other product category……

Can you help?
Maybe something has gone wrong with possible changes in virtuemart with newer versions or new version of CK slideshow?

Slideshow works - but will not use pictures from the correct virtuemart product category. I am rather sure that settings are correct - it has been working fine for years….. :)
It also works if we choose images from a folder - but we need it to use a specific Virtuemart category :)

- for now we have solved it by loading from instagram, but we would still like to find a solution :)

for your issue, I would need some access to your website, or a copy of it so that I can search for the problem
is that possible that you create a copy of your website and give me admin+ftp access ? or a akeeba backup file so that I can work by my side
I think that I will need to go in the files, but also check the database structure for VM to see what is going wrong in the images request

Oh a lot of work to make a copy of the website :)
Could we just give you the access that you need to our live site, or is that too risky when you work on it?
Virtuemart is essential for us - we use it for all product presentations ….

I am afraid an akeeba backup will be very very large file - we have A LOT of data in our virtuemart with product images etc.
I will try to make a backup and see how bit it is :)

Another thing…. seems that when using Instagram as source the slideshow only picks up 10 pictures, no matter how many I set in the settings as max images? I have also tried using "unlimited" in the settings, but only 10 images are picked up fra instagram?

the problem is that I don't like to work on a live website for such problem
I need to play with PHP and I might need to break things and pages when searching for the problem

I will try by my side if I can reproduce the issue first

I have checked
- source : virtuemart
- filter one category : yes >> select the category
- load : all

I have compared to the VM products in the category, the 4 products are shown in the slideshow, as expected

CK slideshow version 2.1.1

I tested a slideshow from DJ Extensions (DJ MEdia Tools) that can also read from Virtuemart - that works perfectly

I understand you dont like to work on a Live Site - I would hate that too :)

Maybe I need do to make a copy of the entire site for you? A different URL and copy af database etc, like you asked for?
