addon blog: how to select articles and not categories?

Is there a way to select articles (various) and not only selecting a category? (as it is today)
I know I could place a tag into each article, and select that category at the addon, but I would like to know how to select the articles manually via a selection of the articles available in a certain category.

If that is not possible, is there a way to select more than one category in this addon? I only see one category to be selected (the various categories that I would like to select are siblings).

you can not select individual articles, but you can use mutliple categories by using a coma to separate the IDs. Example :
