Where can I set the height of an image in an element block?

Hi,
I want to show a page-wide photo with text over it.
This works, but the height of the photo is cut off, so that the person's head is not shown.
Where can I set the ratio of height and width to remain the same as the original?

are you using an Image addon ? or an image background ?

I am using the option to add an image cause when I use the backgroud, the height is only the content of an element.
 

This is what I did:
On the left side I chose for Image.
Then I select an image.
I see that the image is cut off in the editor too !
I added an element Text over it.
When I publish it as a module, the height is not the same as the original image.

ok go in the background image settings>>> position Y >> add the value "0"
it will place the image at the top
