I had a similar problem -- after upgrading to 3.0.1, the page looked fine in the backend, but when clicking to edit a content area, the editor showed nothing. I tried downgrading to 2.18.10 and everything was back to normal, Upgraded again to 3.0.1, and again, not working. Cleared the Joomla Cache... that did not fix. Cleared the browser cache and then it worked. Hope this helps someone.

thank you for your feedback. For now I have not yet identified the cause, but clearing the browser cache fix it

This issue persists. Now I have a client complaining (one of the few who do some of their own edits). Yes, they could do edits after clearing the cache (they also work in Chrome). I want to install the last in the 2.18.x series of PB as that was the last that worked. However, I don't have it anymore. Can you attach here or email please?

I can not attach the Pro version of the 2.18 series
when you got this problem, please try with another browser to check and clear the cache again
the 3.0.x works as you have arlready seen.
else please email me with an admin access so that I can check the problem to fix it
