yes the code has changed, also between the beta versions because this was working before

it shall fix the buttons behavior. The only (small) problem that remains is the fact that they are double in the article view (working correctly in a page and module)

Now these plugins work properly in articles and modules. 
When a new Joomla 4 x line was created, if I remember correctly at one point, tiny editor, had in the article:
Two icons <> for Source code.
