you don't have to search for the button to switch to Page Builder CK, as the article is already switched
it just seems that you have a small css conflict because the page is truncated by the left panel

The pages were created with pagebuilder in the back end and We want to be able to edit the existing page from the front end. It is opening in Pagebuilder by default but we can't save changes. If I open a page created with the standard editor the button is there.

So it looks like I went off in the wrong direction re the switch button. The original issue is still that I get a 403 error when trying to save any edits from Pagebuilder. The css issue you mentioned is probably another extension css. I'll investigate that seperately.

ok , if you try to save a standard article in frontend (without page builder), does it save ?

the only reason why you would not be allowed is that the rights are not correctly set for the user
but if you are in Super User, everything shall be ok
do you have a security extension installed that could be in relation with this problem, by blocking the request ?
when you get the 403 error, what is the message that displays ? (type of error)
