Cannot save after updating to PB 2.2.4

I just upgraded one site to 2.2.4 and now, when I open up a section of an article made with PB, clicking the "X" to save and close the section, no longer does this. Clicking the tick doesn't save either. If I refresh the page I can get out of the screen, but no changes have been saved.

Everything was working fine with 2.2.1 which I had installed previously. I did a Fix Database but that didn't help. I reinstalled 2.2.1 but that stopped PB working completely. I then reinstalled 2.2.4 but the issue reappeared.

UPDATE: OK, interesting. SO it seems the article is saving, but that the editor and the sidebar labelled "Edition area" are not disappearing after a save. Of course, if I refresh, I lose the changes. If I click the "Styles" accordion item, however, the edit screen closes and I can click the main Joomla save, and the article is correctly saved.
