hash tags for plugins

I have several pages that contain areas for links to PDF files, etc. Problem being the files are accessible by directly entering the full url. I have been trying to determine how to create a link to the file or files that are located outside the public_html by using Phoco Download or Edocman. The problem I have with Pagebuilder is I cannot find a way to insert the hash tags for the plugin to get the file, i.e. {edocmanlink Id=1}. in a button or a link in text block.

you can use the tags, in the page options you must set "activate content plugins" to YES

Thank you for that info. Did not see it. I was using EDocman for the extension and I cannot get it to work, even outside of Pagebuilder CK. I did get Phoca Downloads to work. Appreciate the tip and your very great product support.
