Captions for images

Haven't harrassed you for a while....

Where I enter a single image, would it be possible to add the ability to add a caption to it. I do so from time to time, and JCE had the caption plugin which worked OK-ish (it had it's idiosyncrasies). I don't see a way to do it currently, so maybe a wishlist item?

for the caption, this would be more something to be added into Tinymce than into page builder. Have you searched for an addon for tinymce ? I don't know but may be something exists, if yes tell me !

Did some searching on this as Tiny MCE is a frustratingly basic editor to work with. SO SO SO much I miss about JCE. Just formatting images takes at least twice as long. No click and find images. No WYSIWYG floats or margins. Linking is all manual.

Anyway, I found a post where a couple of guys are talking about modules they wrote to add captions to a CMS called ProcessWire - no idea if it'd be an easy mod to Joomla.

I'm busy actually, but an improved TinyMce is something that is really interesting me

JCE is really good, but for me it misses some updates according to TinyMce on which it is based. But may be that I have a bad point of view too !

Yeah, I knew it was based on Tiny but didn't understand any further relationship. JCE does makes so many everyday, mundane tasks so much easier - like placing images and links.

anyway to be clear, Page Builder CK works with TinyMCe and not with JCE
