Perhaps you knew this already, but, when using Top Fixed for "Menu place", the only option in "Display effect" that works 100% of the time is Top Fixed. Anything else causes the menu to be cut off or disappear totally. It looks like other options cause the menu bar to stay fixed to the top, but the actual menu items move up with the page. So on a longish page, they disappear entirely.
A good landing is one you can walk away from.
