check in your source code of the page if this file is called and tell me

Done.
I left in the original folder the .js file untouched and I put the modified one in the override folder.
All works fine.
I'm still crying by joy more and more. No longer drought in North Italy.

It seems that customized effects can't be recognized.
Only standard effects work with the main image of a VirtueMart product.
