Floating Module not working

please try with the template protostar and tell me if it works
I see that you are using the T3 framework for your template, if it does not respect the joomla standards, it can be that the module Chrome feature is not used in this template which makes the floating module not work

Yes, by changing the template to Prostar it works fine.

Our existing template is a Joomlart template using T3 Framework.

ok, the problem is in the T3. You shall ask the JoomlArt developper to check why the "module Chrome" does not work
