may be becuase it was desactivated from the pulgin option under 640px ?
I see that you have set a lower value now and it works

We have two different Yootheme-templates in the site and seem not to be able to get rid of the floating object appearing twice. Any ideas?

It does not obey the resolution rule. It's now been set to 960, but it's visible in mobile resolution too.

Yes, we had to disable it from the live site because it's not functioning.
