Image resize on mobile - not working

Joomla: 4.2.8
Template: Cassiopeia
Easy Image Caption CK: 1.0.2

If I add the same image, one with title set to some string and one with title unset, the image without caption resizes on a mobile devise but the image with a caption does not. Have I overlooked some configuration?

The "manual" states: "Captions will also work on responsive websites (depending on your template, you may have to add some additional CSS)." What additional CSS would be needed for the already responsive Cassiopeia template?

An update:

On my mac using Chrome and Firefox images with caption resizes when I resize the browser. Using Safari, they do not, not even in "Responsive Design Mode".

On my iPhone using Safari, Chrome or Firefox images with caption does not resize.

I have checked and it works on a computer, as you say
I need to investigate the problem on mobile, but this is more difficult to debug, also in SAfari because I don't work with Apple
