Captcha CK - Experiment?

Hi.
I would have liked to install and check out Captcha CK, but...

• Captcha CK does not appear in the list of Extensions Manager CK
• To download it from the site, I am required to pay 24 euros, even though I am logged in and my Full extensions pack is active
• There is no Captcha CK section in the forum.

Is Captcha CK perhaps an ‘experiment’?

you are right, Captcha CK is a totally new product. I have developped it because I needed it since Joomla 5 has removed its captcha from the core
It's a paid product so no free access is available. I will contact you by email to give you a download link, so that you can try it

I downloaded and installed it. Here are some thoughts:

• you must give the option for the text colour or background colour: one of my sites has a dark background, so the black text of the captcha is almost not visible
• the honeypot is not visible: is this right? I assume that only bots see it in the code...
• consider proposing the mathematical question in letters instead of numbers in the future. You will need the numbers (0 to 20, I assume) in letters for each language, such as UNO, DUE, TRE and so on, but I don't think this is a problem. Obviuosly, the answer has to be in letters as well.

I talked about Captcha CK with my friends from the JUG ‘Milano Centro’. I look forward to it being well refined (and included in the full extensions pack) to talk more about it and report it in the JED.

yes that's it, you can not check the box if you are not a bot

Since there are about 20 possible results, my fear is that some particularly skilful bot might create 20 instances of the same request and with an action of brute force try all the results until the right one is found.
The use of letters would make both interpreting the query and finding the correct solution more difficult, also considering the diversity of languages.
I'm paranoid, I know....
But please note that I am not a programmer, so I am not sure if what I said really makes sense from a technical point of view.

For your JUG, you can share the file I sent to you, there is no problem with that. Anyone that want to use it, can do it
but it will be a paid product, so the people must know it. I don't want to make it free and then paid, but I can give you the first versions for free without problem
