Toggle to automatically select all URLs

This may be a stupid idea, but I'm looking for a way to save myself a lot of work. 

Currently, after installing and activating, I open each article (I usually only use the Articles function) and go to the Publishing tab, click "Auto" and save. However, I have 2 sites with over 5000 articles between them... this will be a mammoth job. Does it make sense to have a toggle in the plugin to "Accept all URLs"? It would autofill all rather than singularly clicking each article.

why to setup the canonical on all articles ? the canonical tag shall be used to give the infos in a duplicate content page to tell Google that another page is the master
in your case, why would you like to add this tag automatically on all articles, and what should be the url to consider ?

In my somewhat limited understanding of canonical links, I thought that every individual link, which I want to be the one considered by Google to be canonical, needs to be identified as such using the field which Cusom Canonical CK adds to each article.

Here's the structure of one of the sites which has a lot of articles on it:

norcalpulse.com/redding
  -  norcalpulse.com/redding/outdoors-adventure *
     -  norcalpulse.com/redding/outdoors-adventure/camping  *
        -  norcalpulse.com/redding/outdoors-adventu...-memorial-state-park  *
* Each of these is just one submenu item of many.

norcalpulse.com/redding goes in the plugin. My understanding is that I need to add /outdoors-adventure/camping/mcarthur-burney-falls-memorial-state-park to that specific page to ensure the correct canonical indexing by Google. If this is correct, then I need to add thousands of these links, hence my thoughts on getting an auto option.

the 1.1.0 version is available in a Pro version, which has now this option to automatically add the tags on all pages
