Can't Make New Version 3.0.0 Work

I have updated my site to Joomla 3.9.27 and also updated CookiesCK Light to version 3.0.0. I cannot now make the cookies bar appear on the home page at all. It seems so simple - what have I done wrong? Comments appreciated.

Delete all website cookies in the browser options, then in the back-end Joomla Cookies CK> Edition> Start a new scan. Refresh the page and you will see the cookie bar option on the front of the page

Thanks for the comments. I have read the info in the link and tried the solution suggested. The scan returns "No cookies found - try again" and the cookies bar still does not appear. Any further comments appreciated.

as per the documentation : if you have no cookie, then you don't need a bar / alert
are you sure that you are using some cookies ? have you checked in the browser ?
