That seems to have worked!

What was the problem?

The right hand side is jagged when you mouseover but i'm not bothered about that so much

I think that the problem comes from the JS calculation about the items width... quite curious

Yes, I just tried changing the "Big Item" pixel size to 894px and the full size to 1000, and the flashing stops on mouseover, but stays on mouse leave.

Curious Indeed.
