Add an image in front of title in sub-menu

So even though I have an image selected in joomla menu editor, link type,
I still enter the same imagename.jpg in the Suffix for image active?

I entered /img/icon_hover.png for Suffix for image rollover
And /img/icon_active.png for Suffix for image active

icon_hover.png is also selected in the joomla menu editor for link image under link type.

select your image :
icon.png

give a suffix :
_hover

create an image :
icon_hover.png

it will be used
