Maximenu CK Params

I downloaded and installed Maximenu CK module - Joomla 3.x
ver 8.0.4a. It installed successfully.

Then I downloaded and tried to install the recommended Maximenu CK Params
plugin and it failed installation showing error message:
Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file

I'm using Joomla 3.3.3

Can anyone advise what's happening here?

please unzip the downloaded package, inside you should find the ZIP to install
