How Set Width of Top level-1 Menu items? was created by robatbentley
I'm new to Maximenu but thought I'd find the basics a little easier to configure. I'm trying to set the width of the top level-1 menu items to a fixed width and set it to the full width of my web-site. ...but just can't find a way of configuring it without going into the depths of writing my own CSS. ...and was trying to avoid doing that. i.e. I'm trying to make it look like my live site as per bentleyridingschool.com but I'm using swMenuFree here. Nothing complicated as was hoping to mimmick my existing menu setup first before diving into the realms of sophistication for my sub-menus.
I've purchased the plugin called "Maximenu_CK params" but still can't find a way of configuring it. I've attached a screen-shot of the nearest I can currently get with my efforts so far. Just can't find anything that defines the width/padding/margins for level-1 menu items. Must have missed it somewhere.
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm using Joomla 2.5.19

Hi
you must adjust the dimensions using the padding and margin
go in the module options >> styles customization >> level 1 item
here you will find the margin styles

there is no width/height settings because it would cause to many problemsJust can't find anything that defines the width/padding/margins for level-1 menu items. Must have missed it somewhere.

many thanks. Think it was me being a bit dumb. Now you've pointed out to me to use the "Link level-1" attributes it now seems very obvious. I was stuck in a rut and thought it must be somewhere in the "Edit the styles: Main menu" option. Thanks again...

Hi
For you request, your menu items have a width defined on the anchor element on
.navigation div#maximenuCK ul.maximenuCK > li > a.maximenuCK
line 114 in
ridingmagazine.com/test/templates/theme7...php?monid=maximenuCK
but if you set a higher value you will have a blank space because your background image is only 142px width. You must edit the image and change the size of the items

And you are building a joomla 1.5 website ? Just to inform you that this version is now obsoleteI am new at joomla and all it's modules.
