1/ put the latest versions, so it will be up to date
2/ edit the file

line 53 on ul.menu li ul li
and remove the background !important

>> this should set the hover background from the maximenu again
3/ once this is done, tell me and we will see why in your case the mobile plugin does not hide the module title
