Problem with Menu Hover

In the 7.1.5 version i am experiencing the following problems:
1. On hover the Parent Item disappears and blank with no lettering (the same if you are on the menu page)
2. Speed is too high and difficult to click on a menu item

Problem is experienced in all browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome

In 7.0.20a version
works well but IE does not display sub menu.
Problem is only in IE

Please help as customers cannot submit forms based on this.
