Menu display and Plugin problems

I've just installed Maximenu_CK as it looks like a quality menu if you can get it working; which unfortunately I can't. I have 2 issues:

Firstly, having donated 9 euros for the params plugin the params are not showing up (exactly as the screen capture in another post at forum.joomlack.fr/index.php/en/forum.htm...=view&catid=4&id=519 ).

Secondly, my menu items are not showing up in the same order, or level, as they should (see 2 screen dumps below to see what I mean).

Any help would be much appreciated.
