Font background colour in Beez5 active menu item.

I've recently purchased maxiMenuCK. Thankyou very much. It is a beautiful extension.
My problem, however, is what appears to be a font background that appears in active menu items and the submenus whenever the maximenuck module is placed in position 1, 0, 15, or 2.
I can change the background colour of the active menu using the parameters in the module settings and in the menu item settings.

But there is a green font background that will not go away.
I will leave my site as it is for a while so someone who is smarter than me might be able to help.

templates/taichicentral-beez5/css/beez5.css line 154 + 478 delete the background
