Maximenu ck not working in IE9

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I am creating a site in joomla for the first time and have come across an issue with the menu. It works perfectly in chrome and firefox but messes the whole site up in ie and i'm not sure how to fix it.

I have columns in my sub menu and have noticed when the menu level is just 1 it works perfectly, but when the sub levels are active it doesn't work.

Can someone please help me?

please unpublish the module loaded in the submenu "applications", just keep the standard links

After following your lead, I realised it had something to do with the text separator in the menu that I was using for a column.
