Width of the menu...

Hi guys, i have real problem with accomplishing my goal which is setting maximenu in the way i want...

Now when I use menu i get sth like on the picture with gaps between browser edges and menu (pointed with arrows) - picture 1, when I scroll page down, menu fills the gaps (as shown on picture 2) and that is what i want, to make the menu be presented in that way all the time (no matter what screen res u use, u get all page width filled by menu) but what is more, i want the menu to stay all the time in the same position. Places/spots which should autmaticly fill the gaps (should expand to fit screen res) are shown on pic 3 (marked with yellow arrows).

I'm having a similar problem. Need to set the width of the menu bar but cant' seem to figure out how to. Seems it should be simple, just can't find it.
