Unable to create columns

Hi, if somebody could please help. This is a great plugin but I have an issue with creating columns from a simple article menu.

I have version 6 of maxi menu and also params I have tried both ways to create a menu.

by disabling the params plugin and manually entering [col=180] for two sub menus from the main department menu at the top:

I have also tried it enabling the params menu and then following the adobe tutorial.

The top menus are simply article links.


The hikashop menus on the left seem to be working fine.

The top menu had a setting which was higher for a column which caused the problem
