problem with textual separators in top menu

I installed the 6.1.4 maximenu ck on joomla 2.5.8. I bought and installed the plugin parameters. I do not understand why creating the top menu when I put the titles using the separator text do not apply the same style as the other menu items. Also when you open the voices disappear behind the content of the page.
