How to make a menu item invisble??
I'm sure being not the first one asking this question but due to the missing search function here , I was not able to find the solution.
I created a multi column menu from level 2 of my main menu:
- first column: menu items for navigation
- second column: a module with text
The menu item for the second column is a dummy item which loads the module.
Everything works perfect in the main menu view.
But I need to display the second level of this main menu item also in the sidebar.
And there, the dummy item is displayed, too (not the item but the module text).
My fist question is: Did I go the right way with the dummy item?
If yes, is there a way to prevent the output of the dummy item in the sidebar menu?
Additionally I plan to add one more module to column two under the fist module.
Therefore I have to create one more dummy item which will be shown in the sidebar menu, too.
Is there a way to generally define which item shall be visible or not in different menu views?
Thanks in advance for your help.

hey look at the top left, there is a search field !but due to the missing search function here
I understand your request ,but this is not possible. You can't tell that this item is not loaded in this menu.. I don't know how tihs would be possible

Hi Ced,
I really appreciate the tip with the search field.
I'm sure my support requests will reduce dramatically
And I promise that further requests will be sent at any time between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm because answers at a later time do not fit my expectations...
But it seems that there is a way to solve the issue.
I'm using Maximenu_CK also for the sidebar menu and I added a CSS class on the <li> element (e.g. speclass) in the Maximenu CK Params.
Now I can access the link with following parameter:
div#maximenuck2 ul.maximenuck2 li.speclass {
visibility: hidden; }
"2" is the unique module ID.
It seems to work but I still have to test it in detail.
What do you think? Could this be a way to solve the issue or are there any additional things I have to look at?
Best,
Ralf

Master of CSS spoke to me :lol:
You're right. "display: none;" is without placeholder.
Thank you for your support
