Adding Menu Item to a Virtuemart menu

I have maximenu ck as well as the Virtuemart patch. I'm using virtuemart to create a menu based on the categories that i have in virtuemart, but I was wondering if it was possible to add an item to the menu that is not a category in virtuemart(like a link to my home, or a static article). it seems like it should be pretty simple, but I'm not having any luck. I would also like to be able to have the added menu item have a drop down menu like the other menu items. anyone have a solution? thanks!

yes this is possible if you have joomla 2.5 using the module imbrication and the flatlist (described in the doc of the patch). You can see it here in video :

Thanks! I figure that out after a long while of tinkering, no I am just having a problem making multiple columns in the dropdown menus that are being generated by virtuemart. I put in the category descriptions that I want to have create a new column, but it appears that nothing happens after that. Any suggestions?
