check that the theme you have customised have another name than the preinstalled ones. You must recopy it if necessary

I'm using the default theme, and don't believe I'd customised it.

have you tried to copy you old theme to the new install ?

I disabled the Plug in and now a working menu again.

Looks like I'll have to do some offline work before enable Params plug-in.
