Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to show just one sub branch of a menu.

e.g. my website has a main menu with 3 levels. Id like a second instance of the menu to appear once a section / page is chosen from the main menu, the second instance would only show items from the same branch as the item chosen from the main menu.Is that possible? Has anyone else managed to achieve such a feat?

The website Im constructing at the moment has two seperate menus at the moment which means once a choice is made from the first menu its not reflected in the second menu (which would ideally need to highlight the option the user chose from the main menu)

*puzzled much*

The website Im working on at the moment is at comtec.comtec-media.co.uk , the menu at the top of the site is the main menu. When you select an option from this menu a page is displayed which shows just a single branch from the main menu (but its a seperate instance of maximenuck and duplicate copy of the branch showing)

Thank goodness for the funkyness of maximenu else Id not have got this far.

K

Hi
yes you can , as you have done
you should just adapt the layout, the css and the params
you can use the layout "native joomla"in the advanced options to have the same render as the native joomla menu, then play with the params.

You can communicate with the second maximenuck through parameters passed in the call from the first menu?

I see what you mean *both* instances of maximenuck refer to the SAME menu not two individual menus! Thank god!!! You have saved me a night of wondering what to do I had the menu in "default" mode didnt occur to try "Native Joomla" mode.
